Beth’s challah workshop was wonderful. It was spiritual, it was practical (we made challah dough together) and it was fun. She shared her journey to baking challah each week and the meaning of creating that ritual for her and her family. It was a very special hour that produced a delicious challah!

Thank you so much for leading us in such a warm and meaningful challah making event. Everyone had such a wonderful time and you inspired many to start the ritual of making their own challah 😊
— Natalie S, Center for Jewish Philanthropy Event Participant
First of all, I just loved your challah workshop! You have inspired me to bake challah myself (its been getting better each time) and have pitched the idea of a challah baking event for certain client and internal activities/entertaining. I also sent your book to two friends who I knew would appreciate it…and they did! –
— Debra Rudy Reichman, Eventfluence Event Participant
What a joy! I learned how to make challah with @bethricanatimd at @belmondelencanto’s Wellness Week and it was a delight. Kneading the dough is so meditative and truly helps you zone out and cherish the moments. It was wildly relaxing and it came out delicious!

Our virtual challah-making event with Dr. Beth Ricanati was simply beautiful. Beth is an exceptional host who provides more than a challah workshop – it is truly a mindful experience; one we continue to look forward to each year. Her approach to making challah encourages you to fully engage with the ingredients and your relationship to them. Personally, I have always seen cooking and baking as a chore. Something I had to do… I learned an invaluable lesson of being present and honoring an everyday activity as sacred. A truly meaningful and delicious experience! Thank you, Beth!

Absolutely what the doctor ordered. Thank you for an hour of learning and breathing.
— S. G., workshop participant
Beth, your manner and technique and the way you describe it was all so serene and calming and it made challah baking seem so accessible and for everyone. Thank you!
— Danielle Ames Spivak, CEO American Friends of Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra
When I first heard about Beth’s challah workshop I was intrigued and slightly skeptical. How could an instructional Zoom on baking bread be educational fun and informative? Well not only was it all of the above and more, but I was also amazed how quickly the time passed.

Beth’s calming and soothing voice guided our group through the basics of making the challah, using the session to instruct the group to relax, regroup and be thoughtful about what was going on. While amazing bread was being created, the conversations and discussion taking place was thought provoking, enlightening, and engaging.

Everyone person I spoke to after was also pleasantly surprised how captivating a baking tutorial could be. Beth’s background as a doctor brings authenticity to her presentation. I highly recommend her workshop as it is perfect social or corporate groups alike. 10/10!!!

“In her workshop, Dr. Beth Ricanati masterfully weaves a meditative and reflective experience supported by medical insights with the Jewish art and practice of challah making. Her workshop simultaneously inspires a sense of calm, control, and intention in life, while also inviting participants to reflect on their relationships with Jewish identity and rituals.”
— Julie L., student at Princeton University
EventFluence members are always seeking to share new and creative ways to inspire employees of their organizations through events. Our challah baking workshop with Dr. Ricanati did just that. It was unique, inspiring and awakened our senses. Teambuilding at its best.

Beth was an absolute delight. Her knowledge, wisdom, and experience were seamlessly braided together, creating a remarkable and unforgettable experience. And yes, the braid pun was indeed intended.
— Kathryn P-S, Fortnum & Mason Event Participant
I had so much fun/felt so healed listening to Dr. Ricanati speak and making challah for the first time ever (I will definitely be making it again).
